We left Kinsale, heading west, and passed several fields planted in rapeseed which lit up the rainy skies.
LP: "Windswept beaches, Atlantic waves crashing against rugged cliffs and islands, medieval ruins, soaring mountains and glinting loughs are some of the stunning distractions along the twisting 179 km Ring of Kerry circle drive around the Iveragh Peninsula." Despite the rain most of the day, it was beautiful.
After finishing most of the ROK, we decided to take the scenic back roads route and headed for Ballaghbeama Gap. The road, a little wider than a car width, was little travelled and we found ourselves in a stunningly beautiful landscape quite different from anything we had seen previously on this trip.
Looking back to the Iveragh Peninsula from the Dingle Peninsula.
